I have curly hair. Not kinky curly, but long ringlets, wavy hair. When I iron it, it never goes straight straight. It always has the 'lightness' to it. I recently got a hair cut and the hair dresser made it very straight with this silky look. I bought the product she used (which helps - you put it in your hair after you towel dry it, then use hair dryer and round brush to suppossdely keep the moisture in your hair that gives you that silky look.) I used it, but I still have this light weight, fluffyness (it's better now, but not the same).
I wash it, put the product, hair dry it with round brush, iron it, then put defrizzer.
What else do you recommend?
How do i get straignt silky hair?
I do teh same because my hair is like yours, and I'm hapy with the results. Probably the problem is in your iron, because it should be a ceramic iron, not any iron. If your iron is not a ceramic iron, you should buy a ceramic iron.
Good Luck

spritz a section of your hair with hairspray before you iron it. it makes it more smooth and straighter longer.

How do i get straignt silky hair?
First of all when in the shower I suggest conditioning it when you feel it is getting dry. I use Sauve shampoo and conditioner, but that is what I find works best in my hair so far and is less expensive. To straighten it I suggest buying a good ceramic straighter, and a product called got2b: Dazzling. This product works wonders for me, and provides exactly what you are asking for. Before straightening your hair make sure it isn't wet. I suggest letting it air dry, I find hair dryers dry out your hair, and tend to give you a bit of a frizz effect. After you straighten it take the product, and spray it around your head getting it in your hair. Just remember not to use too much, or little.

do you realise that you are killing your hair by doing the following:
''I wash it, put the product, hair dry it with round brush, iron it, then put defrizzer.''
the next question you will post will look something like this: ''my hair is falling out in clumps...how do i make it stop? ''
dont do this to yourself.
learn to love what you have. and the way you describe it, i feel you are blessed with lovely hair.
