Where can I find a hair dresser who is good with cutting Asian hair in the Sacramento area?

Usually, the best way to find a good hairdresser is if you see someone with similar hair to yours where they get their hair cut. Hope you find someone good!

Best hair straightening method?

my hair straightener isn't the best. it's a 50ish dollar Conair Infiniti, that gets up to 395F. for some reason, when i straighten my hair, it doesnt stay smooth for long. it gets frizzy and puffy and whatnot, and when i got my hair cut, my hair dresser straightned it and it stuck for well over 24 hours. So, does anyone have any reccomendations for getting my hair to stay straightened and smooth? thanks.

Chi (by Farouk).

It's what is recommended to me by any hairdresser I ask, and I've seen the results with my friend and my sister's Chi straightener.

I'm saving up to buy one myself (They could run up to $150, unless you can find one cheaper on EBay).

Target carries them, or just google it online.

Best hair straightening method?

use a Chi iron.

theyre like, 200 dollars, but sooo worth it.

and use biosilk silk therapy.

These work wonderss!!

Best hair straightening method?

Yuck, Conairs no good..

I'd advice you to get something better =)

I've also found that if you rub a little bit of conditioner in your hair before you straighten it it coperates with you more and stays alot less frizzy. =D

It might be because it's starting to get humid out. But start putting a little hairspray in after you straighten parts of your hair. There are also creams out there that are anti-frizz, you could try those?

I hope it all works out.

Good luck.

I use the flat iron that a hairstylist at a local mall salon suggested and it's the best I've ever use. It's called Andee's ceramic hair flat iron you can buy at your local walmart, and it's cheap by price not by the way it works!

I have a Corioliss, and it is absolutely AMAZING. It doesn't take long, and your hair tends to stay straighter longer.

Another thing you could do to keep your hair staright and less frizzy after straightening it is to use a product such as Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Spray or Bed Head None of Your Frizziness. Also, John Frieda Frizz-Ease is amazing!

Hope this helps!

You should wrap you hair up at night. It will help keep the hair shaft smooth. Have you ever thought off going to a stylist and getting your hair pressed with a hot comb.

I use the Maxi Glide flat iron...saw it on an infomercial. Works great and has a stem mechanism

Best hair straightening method?

You should get some kind of hair product to rub or spray in your hair before you straighten it, see if your hairstylist has any suggestions.

it will help tramendously instead of frying your hair off like your doing now with no hair proctector on, your hair with 395 being put into it wont look to good.

drifterpantaloons is right on point....that's excatly what I use biosilk and chi iron...I absolutely love it!

Your hair dresser probably uses a professional grade iron. Mine heats up to 410. They can be found at any beauty supply shop like "Sally's," but they do cost a bit more than your average wal-mart flat iron. In this case you DO get what you pay for.

Also, be sure that you are using the correct product for your hair type. I have wavy hair and use Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Lotion prior to straightening. It adds both shine and manageability but isn't greasy or hard to apply.

Ok. I use a CHI and it works great. If you don't want to spend that much, I used to use a straightener called Jilbere from Sally Beauty Supply for about $40 - $50. In my opinion, it works the same as the CHI. After I get out of the shower I apply Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine leave-in conditioner throughout my hair. I let my hair airdry or you can blowdry to speed up the drying time. Leave it just a little moist. Then I apply a hair straightening spray called Beyond the Zone (orange-transparent bottle) and spray section by section while working the straightner through my hair. My hair stays straight ALL day long and super shiny. And not to mention, super soft.

Hair cut with a razor??

Today I went to the hair dressers and had it thinned out with a razor. If you know what this means (the technique was basically scraping strands of hair with a razor to thin/piece out the hair), could you tell me how to achieve and maintain that kind of straight, piecey look? what products and techniques do you recommend? Thanks! ~ Mr. Wonderful

Hair cut with a razor??

if you want the staight piecy look then you could buy a straightener...either ceramic or glass...the metals one suck!
