Really bad split ends?

Alright. I have horrible split ends because of my lack of effort to get to a hair dresser and cut them off, so they have multiplied.

I want to know what i can do to get rid of them. I am trying to grow my hair out longer, so cutting it mucho short is out of the question. I use tres emme hair stuff and it seems to make my hair dry..maybe that's it? Or should i just get the ends cut off..and the rest will heal? hahah. idk. help :]

go to ur salon and get like one inch cut off trust me its not that much then use pantene breakege defense it really works

ahh i have that problem too. you should get it cut a few inches to get rid of as much split ends as you can, then try some deep conditioners once a week. if you see any strays you can just cut em off with scissors. =) try to minimize blowdrying/straightening, anything that'll dry out your hair

then just go for treatment or apply conditioner to ur end everytime u wash ur hair

The only true way to know that your split ends will no longer be around is to get a trim

it doesnt have to be a drastic amnout taken off but just maybe an inch or so

it would also help after getting the trim to not use heat products so often

BREAK DOWN AND GET A GOOD HEALTHY CUT. THEN IF YOUR HAIR GETS DRY, INVEST IN A GOOD MOISTURIZING CONDITIONER, (MAYBE USE HOT OIL TREATMENTS FROM TIME TO TIME). USE A WIDE TOOTH COMB INSTEAD OF A BRUSH AND DONT BLOW DRY WITH REAL HOT AIR OR USE TOO HOT OF CURLING IRONS OR CURLERS

I strongly recommend using Frederic Fekkai products. They're amazing. but if you don't have enough money to spend on them, use "The Break's Over" shampoo and conditioner by Herbal Essences. deep conditioning once to twice a week :)

the only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off. Split ends do not heal themselves back up no matter how good the shampoo is. Just get them cut off, then purchase a good quality serum that protects your hair. I use to get split ends horribly and found this works great for me. Before you go to bed, coat the ends on your hair with a good quality moisturizing conditioner. The next morning wash your hair. Now if you do that every other night, I promise that will make all the difference.

My hairdresser holds my hair up as she cuts it so she's not cutting it straight across she's mostly just cutting off the split ends. Bio-Silk is an awesome product. It is expensive but you only use a tiny bit so it lasts forever and believe me it is worth it. My hair has grown twice as long as it ever has since I started using this product. Also , I know this sounds gross but the less you brush and comb your hair the less split ends you get. I have a girlfriend who's hair is down to her bottom and beautiful and she swears that because she only combs her hair once a day this is the reason for it. Good Luck.

once they're split they're split. the only way to fix them is to cut them. nothing is worse than long hair that looks ike crap because of split ends. there is no product that corrects split ends.
