Should you leave a tip when you get your hair cut?

i often leave a tip every time i go to the hair dressers. I go regularly and sometimes to the same one for several months. It all adds up and even though i always tip when i go out, particularly at restaurants i was just wondering if it is necessary. who does it go to? is it shared?

Should you leave a tip when you get your hair cut?

Yes, you should tip. Sometimes the tip is shared, it depends on if the stylist has an assistant. If someone else sweeps the floor, shampoos, or blow dries for them they will split it. Hairdressers need the tips because they don't get to keep all the money you pay for the cut. Some of that money goes to the salon if they are renting a spot.

yes always

it is necessary. you should give the tip directly to the person cutting your hair if possible. they don't have to share it, as far as i know.

Yea it's good manners.

Should you leave a tip when you get your hair cut?

yes you should tip. the tip should go to whoever your stylist was. I know at my salon the regular intake of money is shared by employees %26amp; the tip stays with the individual hair dresser.
