How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

Always use a good shampoo and conditioner. Only shampoo your roots, and condition your ends. Never getting haircuts works only if you want unhealthy long hair, which is worse than short hair if your trying to grow it out. Go though and cut off all your split ends inbetween hair cuts, that way they can cut off less hair when you get a trim. You can twist your hair in sections so all the ends stick out and go through and cut off the parts that are unhealthy. Avoid styling your hair too much. Blow drying, rubbing your hair with a towel (just ring your hair out and let it air dry), curling and straightening all promote breakage. If you have died hair there a serum called "anti snap" that works well, you can get it at regis salon. Also, try to avoid products with silicones.

i hope this works, my hair grows pretty slowly but since ive been taking good care of if i have noticed a difference.

How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

Try Fast Grow shampoo (and conditioner) - I got it at Glamour Secrets and Trade Secrets stores.

How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

eat lots of high protein foods like fish %26amp; eggs

How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

leave some conditioner in your hair after you wash it

How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

In India, the women eat curry leaves, you can buy these at an Indian store. It will produce rich and healthy hair. I tried...it worked, now i have dark long hair...it is quite healthy. I wouldn't trust these shampoos...don't produce long healthy hair. Good luck!

Would I look good with a faux hawk?

http://photos-d.ak.facebook.com/photos-a...

Heres a picture of what my hair looks like currently. Also,

I don't want to gel it in form of a faux hawk, just want it to dry like that. Does it work like that? Or do Faux Hawks look dumb ungelled.

I just got my hair cut but am unsatisfied. I want it to look more like this.

What should I tell the hair dresser?

Would I look good with a faux hawk?

yes it would look good on you but u would have to style it..use a good molding cream in it instead of gel though..it will work better and wont look like it has product in it...try 'di:fi-dstruct', 'bedhead-manipulator', 'lanza-molding paste' or something like one of those professional products

Would I look good with a faux hawk?

Faux hawks are cool, gelled or natural.

But what's w/ the brow, bro?

Would I look good with a faux hawk?

i think u should just show ur hairdresser the pic u exactly wanna look like. So that he or she knows with length to stop so that u can actually shape ur hair. If u cut it short u will be unable to style ur hair. It will be spiky.

To style or hair, u can try gastby products. Or ask ur hair dresser to recommend a product. ask him or her to use that to style ur hair. If u are happy with the results and u find it conveint to use. Then buy it from ur hairdresser.

Its all abt trial and error. All the best.

Would I look good with a faux hawk?

Try using a sculping cream instead of a gel...it will get your hair to stand up like that but wont give you the shiny gel look that you get from gel...as long as you dont use a ton of it. a little goes a long way. or you can just go to a hair salon...i know this might sound stupid but go to a womens hair salon...they have so many products that women use in their hair they will be bound to have something good...even get the stylist to try it out on your hair and to teach you how to make it look that way you want it. They will know what will work best for the results your looking for.

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

So I've been dying my hair black for years ( I naturally have very dark hair anyways), never a problem, I have very thick long wavy healthy hair, hair dressers love me. Recently though, I got tired of the black and decided to bleach it all out, and do somthing fun and cartoony by going baby blue, I did it, it looked great, but I decided it was just waaaayyyy too much upkeep.

But after bleaching my hair three times in two weeks, I am left with horribly fried hair!! it's awful! Can anyone suggest anything to fix it, other then cutting most of it off???? I've tried a few products, nothing is really helping yet :(

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

Sorry honey, there is a reason why I楹搗e posted something like this for about ten times on here already.

DO NOT BLEACH YOUR HAIR AT HOME. Full stop.

Of course your hair will be damaged MASSIVELY after being bleached three times in two weeks, would you people please read instructions before pouring bleach onto your scalp?

Before you mess it up even more, fix an appointment with your salon. Have a professional have a look at it and help you out, this is the only way to save what楹搒 left. Really high quality "rich" products might fix part of it, but your hair will never be the same again - unless you shave it off completely.

The damaged hair will grow out, don楹搕 worry, but it楹搇l take its time. Cutting at least some off will make it easier and quicker, but really, have a professional do it, he/she will easily detect how much is still left and worth saving. :)

Good luck - and sorry for the harsh words. =)

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

Use conditioner!

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

OK, leave it, and let your hair dresser fix it. You'll just mess it up if you try and fix it.

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

STOP BLEACHING IT!!! Get it cut, deep conditioned, wash it,don't blow dry it,wash it with a mixture of shampoo and olive oil. Trust me! IT WORKS!!!

How do I fix my fried hair?!??!?

What on earth were you thinking, are you trying to go bald? Tut tut missy. First of all keep away from the bleach and any other dye for the moment. You have over processed your hair and it has lost all it's natural oils to protect it.

Invest in deep intensive hair conditioners for damaged hair, heat protective spray (if you use hair irons or a blow dryer), hair serum and leave - in conditioners to nourish your hair.

Drink plenty of water to rehydrate it because you've basically zapped it of all it's health, try to eat lots of fruit and veg too. Holland and Barrat do great vitamins for the hair, and they actually work.

For the moment treat your hair with care and let it dry naturally whenever possible, try to avoid products with alcohol in them, they won't do it any good in it's present state.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Last week I got my hair cut, but I swear there are still split ends. The hair is dry and frizzy at the ends on the front (like my bangs) but in the back it's fine. Would the hair dresser really leave split ends??

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

it sound like your hair is frizzy and you don't have split ends wash your hair and apply frizz ease to it and see what it looks like later you know that pantene pro-v has the frizz control shampoo and conditioner that you can use before you apply your frizz ease to your hair that should help out even better.Good Luck!

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

If your hair was that damaged, it's always possible.

My sister had very damaged hair--up to about 2 inches below her scalp. She had her cut pretty short, but she still had split ends.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

yes it is possible

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

if they were not cut off, then they were there before or new maybe caused by blow dryer

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

hmmmm did u check the ens of the hair to see if its split

coz u can see a strand of hair slipt into two. it cud just be dry. or just let ur hair grow longer and cut it the second round and go for hair treatment?

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

maybie if the hair cutter isnt profetional!!

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

The hair dresser must not have known what he/she was

doing. Make sure you go to a hairdresser who does

not use cheap hair products. That may be why your hair

is frizzy %26amp; dry.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

It happens all the time. The dresser may not cut that part for whatever reason leaving the splits. You can always go back and explain your dissatisfaction and the dresser should fix the problem free of charge.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

the dresser perhaps didnt know what they were doing

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

It depands on how much hair was cut off? If your spit ends were spilt alot that maybe not-- you never know really, there are far to many strands of hair...good luck on the new doo!

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

usually..the style of your cut needs to be in a way that they will get rid of it. There are ways to prevent it but cutting those ends is the only solution to get rid of it. Not unless, your ssplit ends are on the upper part of your hair that;s why she did not get rid of it all..she doesnt want you almost bald!

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Yes, in order to get rid of all splits ends you will need a very good "trim"..... usually starting where the split ends start.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Did your hair dresser cut your bangs at all? I would get it re-trimmed and then start using a good conditioner - maybe a leave-in type.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

yes

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Oh definitely! Razor cuts can cause split ends on some hair types, and so can dull scissors. If you notice your stylist's scissors "pull" or occasionally bend the hair instead of slicing right through, that is a pretty good indicator the the scissors are dull.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

your hair is always growing, so it's possible. then again she couldn't cut your hair right. but keep hair moisturizer on it.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Yes.

If you didn't get your hair cut short enough to get all of the split ends, absolutely. Split ends can go up so far. To get rid of them, you have to get your hair cut as far up as the split ends go.

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

the reason why you hair splits still is because your hairs split ends may have not been all cut off and many people don't know it but hair is made of protein, which is why after a hair cut you need a protein treatment. like skin when there is a wound open, it needs something to cover the cuticle which is the oter shaft of the hair up, which would be a scab or a blood clot. when you use a protein treatment it does the same thing closes up the cuticle or fills it in . you may find if you get a product with protein in it it will help, but if you don't get the splits off it will split all the way up to the root. go get it cut again and tell the hairdresser you want a protein treatmet, not a deep conditioner, a protien treatment, i know because i do hair .this helps ! trust me .

Is it possible to still have split ends after a haircut?

Well. Dear i have the same problem I got my hair cut and as soon as she cut my hair it went right into split ends. She was even shocked , she told me it was because of the water that we have we have hard water and its bad on your hair, my mom's hair is the same way.

Are these good jokes...?

. there was a blonde girl who wanted her hair cut so she went in the hair dressers and the hairdresser said take your headphones of "no i cant thier reminding me something"

but she took them of cos the hairdresser said she wouldnt cut her hair with them on later on when the hairdresser had finished she notice that the blonde was dead she then had a listen to the headphones and they said... breath in... breath in...breath out

. there was three blondes and they had one wish to get over this big cliff the first one said:i wish i could fly she got over the over side and fell back in excitment, the next one wished she was the best jumper and jumped over but she fell down in the middle of the jump and the last one wished she was brunnet and walked across the bridge provided

are they good? (by the way my mates mate told them to me so i hope there not offensive to you blondes anyway i like the colour blonde i wish i was blonde :) )

Are these good jokes...?

there good

Are these good jokes...?

LoL sounds like a blonde typed them. But overall, pretty good jokes!!

Are these good jokes...?

:) FUNNY!

Are these good jokes...?

not too bad...thanx for the jokz

Are these good jokes...?

hahaha funny!

Are these good jokes...?

hahaha yes they were funny i liked the first one better though :D

Are these good jokes...?

They're ok but they are old. I heard them a long time ago.

Are these good jokes...?

Good one! Funny!

Are these good jokes...?

(more brownish) i'm thinking of getting long layered hair. but i need a few pictures to show my hair dresser . so if you could, can you send me a few suggestions/pictures.

thanks ! :)

- elizabeth

What type of layers should i get? pictures please !?

You should get your hair cut like my cousins, she has very beautiful hair.

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cf...

What type of layers should i get? pictures please !?

Layers are layers, just ask the hairdresser to layer your hair.

She'll know what to do, that's part of her training.

What type of layers should i get? pictures please !?

im 14 too, i would recommend NOT getting layers that look like they are not layered, the ones that you can hardly see. i have really thick dirty blonde hair w/ natural highlights and if you have thick hair and you get layers you can hardly see, your hair will look the same after you wash it.i would recommend getting choppy layers. if you want someone to get your hair modeled after look at this picture.jennifer aniston has a good haircut , it frames her face and then continues to get cut in layers on the way down.

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

i went to the hair dressers last night and told them how i wanted it cut and that i wanted some brown highlights like the ones in my hair. and then after having it highlighted and washed it came out as very blonde! my natural hair is black so i look like a pineapple now! actually more like a zebra! what do i do? they "darkened" it because i wasnt too happy and now some parts are orange and a lot of it is white/yellow. I am happy with the cut though.

this is a disaster!! what can i do? any tips?

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Heyahh

go to a different hair dressers - one that you can trust and get your hair dyed back to your natural colour and then just start all over again :D:D:D

Hope I Helped

Goood Luck

Merry Xmas =]=]=]

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

A) Start a trend

B) If you're that concerned, a quick fix is just put your hair up

C) Get over the counter dye and fix it :)

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Dye it your natural colour and start again. Don't go back to that hairdressers again though!!!

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

if he is a very good hairdresser and you trust him, go back let him fix it for you ,,,but if you don't , I would say you go to a professional hairdresser ...who won't stress your hair...good luck..and don't try to fix it yourself you could damage your hair or have unwanted results...

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

oh my thats terrible! haha well ive delt with highlights before (white blonde highlights... eek) haha so my advice is just grow it out. dont dye it anymore, the chances are high that you'll just hate it even more. grow it out, and as the roots are coming in, get the roots highlighted a slightly darker color than what your hair was dyed.... your hair will transition back to your natural color.

my other advice - never go back to that salon again haha

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Talk with your friends and find a hairdresser that's good with color. He/She can fix the problem for you.

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Yes you can pull your hair up, or if you really not that happy you could try another hair dresser to fix that.

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

You may need to go to a diff hair dresser that knows what they are doing lol

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

dye your hair a dif colour

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Fix it at another salon. You don't want to make even more of a mess by fixing it yourself. You should wear a hat or a thick headband to disguise it.

Hair disaster! what do i do?! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

Ask for your money back and use that money to get it redone at another salon

Do i look like a guy?

im really a 13 year old girl but ppl always tell me i look like a boy. btw this is my moms accout so... And i know the hair cuts bad, my hair dresser messed up big time on it.

http://www2.snapfish.com/slideshow/Album...

Do i look like a guy?

try growing out your hair longer and wear more feminine clothes if you want to look more like a girl

Do i look like a guy?

KINDA

Do i look like a guy?

sorry but u kinda do

Do i look like a guy?

are you sure that your a girl.....?

Do i look like a guy?

uhhh. . . not to be mean but you do

Do i look like a guy?

yea (no offense)...but to be sure i'd have to see closer cuz the picks kinda far

Do i look like a guy?

maybe with that haircut

Do i look like a guy?

yea sorry

Do i look like a guy?

Yeah, sorta maybe grow your hair out

Do i look like a guy?

sorry but yeah

Do i look like a guy?

well....to tell the truth, you do resemble Ned from that one show "Ned's declassified" on nick. don't worry too much, it must be the clothes you wear. I'm not sure if you always dress the way you are in the picture, but if you wear more fitted clothing and perhaps some lip gloss you won't look like a guy anymore. try some barrettes on your hair and headbands too. that'll solve the problem until your hair gets fixed.

Do i look like a guy?

With that short hair, yeah.

Do i look like a guy?

yeah. you kinda do. try wearing

some earrings and headbands

to look less "boyish".

:]

Do i look like a guy?

Yes, very much so

Do i look like a guy?

You kind of do but I think the baggy hoodie doesn't help.

Don't worry! Your hair will grow out and you've got a sweet face anyway!

Do i look like a guy?

In this pic you do...grow the hair and get some girl clothes(dress like a girl)

Do i look like a guy?

yes sorry you do!!! grow your hair out and wear some girly clothes.... but HEY ID DATE YOU :)

Do i look like a guy?

its porbably cuz your ahir or clothing aren't very feminine.

Do i look like a guy?

Yeah, kind of =[

Do i look like a guy?

Yes you do look like a boy. But don't worry about it. Your young. Grow your hair out and you'll be fine.

Do i look like a guy?

unfortunately, yes. have you considered suing the hairdresser?

Do i look like a guy?

yeah i can see it.

Do i look like a guy?

sorry you do look like a boy i say grow longer hair and dont get an haircut

Do i look like a guy?

Hard to tell with the tiny photo, but the problem is the hairstyle.

You need to grow your hair out long.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

How do I tell my hair dresser that I want a hair cut like one of these.

http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg24/...

http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p137/...

Like do I tell them alot of really choppy layers that are un-even

or just aloott of layers?

but of corse I'm going to take the pictures, but I also want to explain what I want it like.

so what do I say?

What would I tell my hairdresser?

I would tell them to do tons %26amp;%26amp; tons of choppy layers %26amp;%26amp; varying in length. Also, a deep side part %26amp;%26amp; buches of angled %26amp;%26amp; layered side swept bangs staring from the side of your head. hope i helped yahh!

%26lt;3 PiNk

What would I tell my hairdresser?

the picture's worth a thousand words

What would I tell my hairdresser?

Hand her the picture and ask her to style it that way.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

scene wannabe.

bring the picture if there doing something you dont want them to be doing say somehting, your paying them.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

These hairstyles have been teased. they arent haircuts so i'm confussed! sry i couldnt really help!

What would I tell my hairdresser?

Say that u wont one.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

I'd say, tell her what you said here. She knows what she's doing, and the pictures are going to do her much more good than you trying to describe a hair style to her. If theres a particular part of the cut that you like more than the rest, point to it and say you want that, emphasized.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

If your stylist is worth their salt, they should be able to look at the pictures and understand how to do it. You need to take into consideration a few things though, if your hair is not the same texture as the girls in these photos it WILL NOT look the same no matter what you do. For instance if you have wavy hair it may take some blowing out to achieve similar results. In addition make sure you point out if there is anything in the picture that you do not like. Talk to your stylist and make sure that you both understand and that your hair will transfer this style well.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

its so simple, give her the links of these websites.

What would I tell my hairdresser?

Print a picture and give it to ur hairdresser or if u don't have buy a flash save and print it out before giving to ur hairdresser.

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

this is how i want my hair how do i tell the hair dresser!!

i would print the pic but i dont have ink and im going to het my hair cut in a few hours!!!

this is how i hat my hair!!

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t18/m...

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

get a digital cammra take the pic on ur cpu screen, brg ur cammra?

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

theres no way your gonna be able to describe that to her

you have to print it or email it or something

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

hurry go to someone house and print that cos i dont think they are going to get it like that

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

Get it thinned and have long layers and shorter layers towards the top

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

shes going to say that that isnt a haircut but styled. the hair is styled with products to go up like that. you cannot cut your hair like the picture, but get it styled with gels and stuff. :]

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

good question if you can spend some on inc it would be the best because sometimes it is hard to explain to a stylest. This will also lead not hopefully no mistakes because u have a picture and they know excaclly what u want.

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

1. try and describe it in the best possible way

2. wait a few days and go too the library and print the pic they only charge like 20p

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

i like the hair, well go to the library or somewhere else to print it, otherwise explain it to them the best you can, like how many layers, how hi, what colors, also they have books of hair styles there try to find the closest one the explain the rest that might help to

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

if you can describe it to her, then just do it, most good hairdressers will ask you how do you want it cut--if they don't find another one--they are there to serve you, not let them tell you what you want--you could ask her opinion of the cut and if it is good for your face shape--but the final decision is yours

How do I tell the hairdresser?!?!?!?!?

email it to her or put it on a thumbdrive or take a pic of the pic on the computer with a camera or ur phone then show it to her

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

Okay so I have been going to the same hair dresser for about 2 years. Well last year when I went in December to get my hair cut he gave all of his customers a bottle of wine. So my question is should I get him a small gift for x-mas when I get my hair cut and is so what can I get him that is not a stupid gift or cost to much money. He is a male about maybe 25 to 30 years old. He is married and has 1 kid and 1 on the way. Please help

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

A gift would be nice but is not mandatory. I agree with the pic frame or gift card ideas. Maybe you know a store or restaurant he likes or wants to check out. You give him cash all the time (tip) you could give a bigger tip if you'd like. I say stay away from something for his kids and wife. Get him a gift for himself. You can give a baby gift when it comes or something for the wife on their anniversary.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

How much to you want to spend? Get him one of those 2 person movie packets so he can take his wife to the show. Or a restaurant gift certificate.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

I think you should get him something and to be really nice buy his son/daughter a present to. it will show him that you like kids.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

hmmm thats a tuffy but yeah u should get him a gift. that was very giving of him to get you a bottle of wine. im not sure what you could get him tho but just look around the one thing that pops up in my head they have little funny statues about hair dressers. he could put it on his desk and will always think of u! lol

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

A gift card/certificate.

Never goes bad.

It what I give the girl who cuts my hair.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

MAKE HIM A THROW BLANKET OF HIS CHILD OR HIS SHOP FROM WWW.PHOTO-TRAN.COM THEY HAVE ALOT OF GREAT GIFT IDEAS AVAILABLE IN TWO WEEKS.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

It's wonderful to get Christmas gifts from your clients, especially those who are regulars, you've built a relationship, you put yourself in his hands regularly, it never hurts to make sure you know where your bread is buttered, LOL. A picture frame that would fit nicely at his station for the baby's picture once it's born would be nice, or a family type gift, gift certificate to dinner.. tell him he should take his wife out before they have to deal with the babysitter thing, or a nice set of picture frames for their house, you know him by now, and should have an idea as to his style, just go with it.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

you should get him a Box of Chocolates because thats not to big or to small.

Christmas present help needed PLEASE?

I would give him cash. That's customary.

However, if you don't want to do that then perhaps really good chocolates or a magazine subscription (something that you think he might like, so many out there nowadays, could buy one magazine copy off the newstand and then a certificate to let him know that he'll be receiving it monthly), set of beer glasses, set of shot glasses, suduko electronic game, etc.

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

My friend is a hair dresser. When I have helped her move, or helped her throw a party, she says I owe you a free cut and color. When she does this, how much should I tip her? I feel bad cause I totally forgot the last time!

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

Does she expect a tip? Because when I do my familys hair I never EXPECT a tip, if they offer one I will refuse it and take it only if they insist. I just ask for them to pay for the supplies. If I am paying for a service with a service I wouldnt expect a tip also. I am doing this for a favor, I didn't tip them for helping me, I wouldn't accept a tip back. If you absolutely have to tip, about 10-15 total for both services. A chemical service usually gets a larger tip and a hair cut is about $3-5.

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

i'd say ten dollars

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

half of what the treatment would cost would be adequate. Same goes for every other time she does this for you. You're still getting off cheap.

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

tip as you would when you pay forthe service.

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

Oh, I am a Cosmetologist/Owner, and I've done that for a friend before. Yes, please tip us because the color itself probably costs 7-10 dollars. Not to mention the time. But, it's also a favor for a favor so, weigh it on what you did. Now if you are getting just your roots retouched the products themselves are probably only 5-7 dollars. But a highlight or color foil are different and require more products and time. Either way a tip always feels good! :o)

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

$5

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

Cover the chemical cost and that should be fine.

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

Find out what it costs her to do a regular cut and color for anyone else with your same type of hairstyle and length. Then figure out what you'd tip if you had to pay that. Then pay her that tip.'

My friend repays my favors with a cut and color. How much should I tip if its a free cut?

I would think that if she is repaying you that you wouldnt have to give her a tip.....you did her a favor, now she is doing you one....I think tips for hair dressers are over rated anyways........they get paid 20 to 30 dollars just to give you a cut that takes 20 minutes to do. They get paid good enough, I think. I have know if some hairdressers that work 3 days a week and they end up making 500 to 1000 dollars in those 3 days. Thats alot of money for 3 days of work in my book.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

wow that really is rude... he could have been a little more polite about it

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

very rude

Answer my Q plz!

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

yeah, that's rude. She was just trying to be nice. He should've just answered her questions and gone "mhmm" and "yeah" and she would've gotten the idea.

Poor hairdresser!

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Yea that's pretty rude lol.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

If someone said that to me I would say "Off you go then...I donr cut the hair of people who are that rude." and then I would walk away...he was horribly rude.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Kinda rude if he phrased it that way, prob would have been better if he'd said "Look, sorry I'm not really in the mood for a chat, thanks" lol.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

i think they are just making an effort so give them a break! anyway if he was gonna tel l them to shut up he should have said it in a nicer way

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

yes he was rude...%26amp; very brave upsetting somebody with a pair of scissors who is just about to do your hair...i would have waited until after the haircut...just in case!

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

I would have cut all his hair off!!!

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

yep thats rude,

i`m surprised he didnt end up with a really bad haircut after saying that. :)

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

he was very rude. if i was the hairdresser i wouldn't bother cutting his hair.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

it was rude when he could of politly said he would prefer not to talk

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Rude

But i guess he making it up, no one would be spoken to like that

hairdresser would of told him to leave , even if only half done

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

That is their way of building clientele. I'm sorry , but your boyfriend is really mean, and doesn't have any manners to say shut up to someone who is being nice to them.

He's lucky the person still cut his hair .

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Yes I think he was a bit rude.I am sure the hair cut did not last long and he could have chatted for a few minutes,It may have Even made him a bit less grouchy to have a chat with a stranger.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

well that was really mean but i get were Ur coming from he could have said i have a head-ache please stop talking or something

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

That was rude.

Wait, he goes to a "hairdresser"?!

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Yea; your bf is an Azzhole.....

The hairdresser shoulda cut off one of his ears so he wouldn't have to listen to her trying to be polite to her client.

you are dating a jerkoff....

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

i think it was harsh he could have just said im not in the mood to talk. and thats there job. i mean when you get ur hair done isn't it kind of relaxing. you are able to go in there and tell the about ur problems and they always agree with you which makes you feel better. and you dont have to pay a shrink. so while it might be slightly annoying thats part of their job and i do think he was a lil harsh

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

That's apart of being in a customer service environment. I worked doing customer service type work for years and it is supposed to create just an easier atmosphere, a more comfortable environment and it was horrible when I was confronted with rude customers who couldn't muster even a "hello" or "thank you". No, I don't think he was right, though I understand at times you aren't in a good mood as I get sometimes when I'm out, but it's the persons job to make sure you're comfortable and that just makes it hard for them so I try to put on my best face for them.

The only thing that annoys me that I'd had to speak up against is when people try to get in your business when it's none of their business in which case you can tell them to just stop talking. But otherwise I feel you should treat others the way you want to be treated and I'm sure if your boyfriend was that hairdresser and he was treated in that manner, he wouldn't appreciate it one bit.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Yes it was a bit rude.

You should tell him it was and he should appologise to the hairdresser.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Kinda, but I know how he felt. I've been to a couple barbers that start to massage my head. One guy had an electric massager and I think I hurt his feelings asking him not to use it on me, but 'sorry', didn't like it.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

he said that to the hairstylist and he didn't get up lookin like a bad version of BUCKWHEAT koodos to the hairstylist yea he was rude but i would have lmao

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

very rude i would have thrown him out on his ear and a dig in the ribs if he gave me any lip, he sounds like a bully div to me. a few good beatings will bring him round to show him not to be rude to people if he did not want to chat he could of just said i am sorry but i am not in the mood for a chat.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

Being rude and being honest are two different things.

Being rude is saying shut up without giving a reason.

Being honest is saying shut up and also saying "I don't like to talk to people I don't know". Or "You're paid to cut, not talk."

Voice your mind and you never have to worry about what others think. Don't speak your mind and you will always be labelled rude or an A Hole.

Lol do you think my boyfriend was rude to the hairdresser?

yeah that was rude

What is appropriate and/or expected?

I live in a small town and have always cut my own hair and my daughters' hair. My two oldest daughters however are getting older and they would like to go to a salon to get their hair cut. I'm all for it. I could use the break. :)

My question is what is an appropriate tip to give the hair dresser? Is it expected? I'm new at this but don't want to appear so. :) I appreciate the help you are giving me.

Thanks and God bless!

What is appropriate and/or expected?

Most haircuts these day run about $10 to $15, depending on the place and the stylist. Some could be less, some can be more.

What is appropriate and/or expected?

If the hairdesser does a good job and listens to what is wanted in the cut and style, I tip 20%, as the service gets worse so does the tip.

What is appropriate and/or expected?

Tipping at the hairdresser's can sometimes involve more than one person. Here are some general guidelines which should help you when you are visitng the hairdresser.

In most businesses, the owner is not tipped. One exception is the hairdresser. If your hairdresser is the owner of a small shop, then it is acceptable to tip her or him if she or he charges the same amount as the other stylists there. If the owner charges more, then a tip is left to your discretion since you are already paying more for her or his service. If you are not certain if the owner charges more, call ahead and ask.

Tip the hairdresser twenty percent of the total bill if you are having a cut, color, permanent or other time-consuming treatment.

Tip fifteen percent of the bill if you are only having a wash and blow dry.

Tip two dollars to the shampoo person if, he or she is not doing your other work.

What is appropriate and/or expected?

It depends on whether or not they were nice and listened to the way you wanted your hair done. If its under $20, then $8 is good. usually $2 intrivals more for every $10 over $20. make sense- so if its $30, then tip $10 and so on.

What is appropriate and/or expected?

As a stylist anything is appreciated. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

What is appropriate and/or expected?

I normally base my tips on these:

How did they recieve you when you walked in? Happy or ignore you?

The stylists mood? (did she rush or not care?)

Did they offer any ideas?

How can i get longer hair fast with out taking hair vitamins?

In India, the women eat curry leaves, you can buy these at an Indian store. It will produce rich and healthy hair. I tried...it worked, now i have dark long hair...it is quite healthy. I wouldn't trust these shampoos...don't produce long healthy hair. Good luck!

Really Bad Haircut?

I got my hair cut... my fringe was past my chin and i asked the hair dresser to give me a long side fringe... Now my whole fringe is a inch and a half long and i cant pin it back because its not long enough and i cant sleek it back cause i use my fringe to cover a scar on my forehead .... what can i do please some one help me school is starting in a week

Really Bad Haircut?

Is your scar really noticeable? If not, then you don't need to stress. If it is noticeable, take some of your long hair and cut it yourself and cover your scar. I suggest you make someone cut your hair for you, like your family.

Dont stress too much. I had a bad hair cut too but my hair grew and i like it now. :)

Really Bad Haircut?

I would wear hats or head bands for awhile! the second option is just leave it alone and make the most of it for now!! hair will grow don't worry!

Really Bad Haircut?

hey ....don't worry you don't have to cover that scar..you shouldn't care what ppl tell you.....about the hair....hmm...you should just wait ur lucky if ur hair grows fast....

Really Bad Haircut?

shave ur head and get a wig.

Really Bad Haircut?

gawd, this has happened to me!

okay, first it'll be fine in like 2 weeks...trust me. you don' t realize how fast it grows until they've cut it that short!

until then you're just going to have to deal with it.

try your best to put a side part in it and to use a flat iron instead of curling iron on them.

Really Bad Haircut?

eat my DUST!!!!!!!!!!!

Really Bad Haircut?

by some cover up for the scar silly girl.

Paranoid about head lice?

I am 15 and at middle school i used to get headlice all of the time. i haven't had lice since i started high school (3 years ago) but i am constantly worried that i have them again. Although none of my friends have them, my head always feels itchy. I am terrified of combing my hair incase i find something. I never see anything crawling in the mirror and i have a long fringe which i can see no traces of life in. I am having my hair cut on Saturday so is there another reason my scalp is itchy - could it be sensitive or because i am paranoid? My head is near my family all the time and they get their hair cut all of the time which means they are lice free.

I am just really worried that my hair dresser will start screaming or something because i have little mates in my head, so can you please tell me if i could just have an itchy scalp or something. Last time i thought i had lice my mum checked but there was nothing there.

I am really terrified of checking through my hair so please help

Paranoid about head lice?

i think its psycological. my mom has the same problem. literally, all i have to do is say the word 'lice' and she starts itching and begs me to check her head. it drives me nuts because she does this everytime i just say the word. but yeah even if you do have bugs they wont start screaming or anything they'll just stop and tell you to go home and take care of it.

Paranoid about head lice?

Your head may be itchy because your scalp is dry. Try some medicated shampoo and have your mom check your hair for lice. This way you'll feel better.

Paranoid about head lice?

you have to check, there's lots of products to get rid of them

Paranoid about head lice?

use fairytales shampoo or tea tree oil shampoo lice cannot live in a head washed in it

Paranoid about head lice?

dry scalp could be your problem. since you have already had lice you will know what to look for. have mom or someone check closely for you before the haircut. a professional hairdresser will not scream but should merely and quietly tell you they see an infest and please go treat it and return for the cut. if you have it so does your family. chances are you just dried your scalp with to much product. a good daily conditioner should help

Paranoid about head lice?

aww bless ya. you could just have an itchy scalp sweetie. my head itches all the time as i have psorasis on my scalp and even in my eyebrows when i'm really stressed.

Paranoid about head lice?

It's possibly a psychological itch but maybe a scalp issue. Have you changed your shampoo lately?

And so what if you get lice....just treat it again.

My kids don't get lice but thats only because they have short hair except for my daughter...but she starts school in September so she is sure to get them then at some point.

REMEMBER...lice will invade clean hair, not dirty hair. So if you get lice, look on the positive...you keep your hair clean. :op

Paranoid about head lice?

Sure its not dandruff? if you can see anything maybe you have a sensitive scalp (does that sound crazy?) try baby shampoo.

Paranoid about head lice?

The mind is a tricky thing. When you are paranoid about something you start feeling it and going crazy over it. Like once i heard on tv the symtoms of being infected with a virus. I kept thinking about it and i started feeling something, i was scared out of my mind. If you are really convinced of something you can feel it.

Paranoid about head lice?

It's okay, you probably just have dandruff or something. Pick up some head n shoulders or an anti-dry shampoo %26amp; conditioner. You being paranoid doesn't help either just quit thinking you have lice %26amp; when you get your hair cut remain calm....it'll be fine trust me! Relax sweetie %26amp; best of luck with your new haircut!!!

Paranoid about head lice?

i have the same paranoid problem as you.. i had bed bugs when i was 15 years old.. i picked up from visiting a dirty place with my parents .. i came home and was ichy all night.. so i took about 10 showers to loose the bugs.. since then i always feel ichy when im around dirty people.. its a recation that you do ..its a paranoid thing but a person has to control it.. you cant stop picking up lice from malls store or where ever you go.. sorry... just always wash and stay clean and stay away from dirty people .thats what i do.. i nver have lice or bed bugs since the one time ..good luck

Paranoid about head lice?

Oh that's a good attitude to have about it! I don't want to look cause I may have them! What sense does that make? Better to look and find them as early as you can!!! Getting your hair cut has nothing to do with preventing lice or being lice free! There was probably a kid at your school you kept getting them from so don't borrow any body's brush or comb or hat. I doubt you'll get lice anymore since it's been three years so get a hold of yourself and quit acting silly about it!

Paranoid about head lice?

Don't worry you could just have dry scalp, try changing shampoo and don't wash your all the time. I

Paranoid about head lice?

I caught the little blighters when working in a local Nursery as a nursery nurse. I used the conditioner and comb method. Lots of conditioner and tooth comb the hair. I still do this now even though I haven't worked with children for 3 years. My sister caught them from someone on a crowded bus. So every week now she uses the same method.

I also advocate a drop of tea trea oil on my brush.

Paranoid about head lice?

no worries I think ive got lice at the moment becuz my head itches like hell and IM gonna have my hair cut pretty soon too...

OK im goin 2 shower the shower now and goin too look at my head ...

Scracth,scratch , scratch...:S

Paranoid about head lice?

My kids bring head lice home every week. The school sends home "Nit notes" when the teachers spot them but without a complete amnesty like the one Sinead sponsored In Ireland, they'll never go.

Further to previous, don't bother with lotions, because lice get used to them. Get a decent nit comb and comb your hair daily. If you have got lice (nits are the eggs) the adults and young ones will come out straight away. Work your way across your head a few times. When the eggs hatch you'll pull them out before they are big enough to lay eggs. Wipe the lice on a towel which should go straight into the washing machine or wipe them off into a bowl of water.

A week of combing should get rid of them but keep checking by combing every few days.

Finally, as the other answers say, get someone like your Mum to check your head and follow up the advice about psoriasis etc

We use the Nitty Gritty Nit Free Comb - it cost a 鎷?0 and you have to use a conditioner before you use it but it's brill for pulling the eggs out.

Go to nittygritty.co.uk for more.

Good Luck!

Paranoid about head lice?

I used to have bad lice problems when I was younger, but it was because my school had lice "epidemics".In order to get rid of them, my mother tried EVERYTHING, and in the end she had to use some really strong products, which, when all the lice was gone, left me with terrible dandruff because the shampoos were so hard on the scalp. I've still got dandruff because of it. Anyway, if you've had lice in the past, and used strong products, chances are that you're suffering the consequences of the damage they cause -such as dandruff and itchiness due to dry scalp. My hairdresser cut a lot of my hair off because of lice, which I wasn't happy about, but he didn't freak out. Remember, they see different types of hair every day, they're used to that kind of stuff. Don't be scared of looking through your hair, get your mum to do it. If you have got lice, ask your hairdresser for recommendations as to what is the best way to treat them.

But, if your friends and your family don't have lice, the chances are that you won't either, because they tend to be passed on quickly from head to head in close proximity. If you had them, you'd be passing them on to your friends and family too. Anyway, get it checked out just in case, and don't worry, it's just head lice!

Good luck!

Paranoid about head lice?

Sounds like a dry scalp to me. Every kid has lice one time or another dont freak.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

I found headlice (both live and eggs) in my daughters hair recently and she's having her hair cut tomorrow ready for school...! I need help, I dont want an embarrassing situation with the hair-dresser so I need to get rid of them asap!! She cant have her hair cut later because she goes back to school in two days....!! PLEASE HELP!!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

your drug store should have an over the counter shampoo that will kill them asap. The issue is that those eggs are sticky and very difficult to get off. You have to pinch the hair at the scalp and slide your nails down each hair, scraping the eggs off each strand. They have special combs, but those aren't narrow enough to scrape the eggs off the strands.

Oh! And don't forget to wash her bedding in that shampoo. There are directions for running it through your washing machine. Clean her room really well, wash all her linens. Run her pillows through a hot cycle in the dryer and vacuum her floor really, really well. Otherwise they will be right back.

Also, while you are washing her head, concentrate at the back of her head, at her neck. They like that spot cause it is soft and warm for them. But know they will start running all over the place as soon as you start washing and srcubbing.

Clean hair brushes and check everyone else too. And keep checking for several weeks just in case they are still around and starting a new generation somewhere.

Help her to not be too freaked out too. This can be traumatic for her. Try to be cool about everything you do. From her perspective she might feel like she has spiders or snakes all over her. Don't scare her.

Good luck hon.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

ew. get that new head and shoulders stuff . i saw it on tv ! is supposivley helps

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Ask your local pharmacist

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

GO TO CVS OR ECKERD DRUG....GO BACK TO THE PHARMACY....THEY HAVE THE PRODUCTS FOR THIS

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Go to Walgreen's or cvs and get a product from the pharmacy, call RID and they have others to wash all clothing and bedding and follow directions!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

What I suggest is to go get a gas mask and start spraying your daughter's hair with bug spray. That or see if the lice will jump onto your neighbor's pet.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

damp her hair. and use a extremly fine toothed comb to extensively comb her hair. after that just look through her hair..if that still doesnt work i think you get lice shampoos

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

spray you head with raid

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

any drug stores have many different stuff for head lice, from shampoo's to special combs, and you can use both.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

They make special shampoo for that available at any drug store. It should come with a very fine comb for you to use to brush out the lice and eggs. Also stuffed animals and other such toys should be kept in a bag for about a month to kill any lice on them.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

can,t think of the name off hand, but the local, including all have something like called ridlice

works great, but use as directed

then you need to check every one else in family

%26amp; each needs their own comb or brush

%26amp; no pillow swap

sometimes you need to treat bedding also

if school age is the carry home this is quite common

you need to talk to them about good practices

cautions about loaning caps, combs, clothes or even touching others hair %26amp; then their own

it usually runs in streaks in classes

it is no reflection on the way you raiuse your kids

more like a fact of life

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

I hate to say this but my daughter had head lice and it took us ages to get rid of them none of the stuff seamed to work, we just persevered with tea tree shampoo and conditioner and combed her hair every three days, I hope you find a solution to your problem.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

You can get headlice treatment with an active ingredient called malathion which is currently recommended.

Or you can get a nit comb and start combing. Wash the hair, put on conditioner but dont wash it out. Go in sections and comb and comb from scalp to tip, wiping the comb each time in a bit of tissue. Then wash out the conditioner and hope you got all the little buggers.

tea tree oil based shampoo can help stop it coming back.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

They have products for that anywhere. I can't remember the name of them.

One starts with a "N". I think it's "Nexus"

You can go to like Wal-mart and ask the pharmacist. Don't be embarrassed. Most children in school, especially girls with long hair, get it. If you don't take care of the problem then I'd be embarrassed, but you are taking care of it.

BTW.....WASH EVERYTHING!! Wipe off couches too. Anything her hair may have touched or it will keep coming back.

Good Luck.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

I agree. Go the drug store and ask the pharmacists. There's probably an over the counter thing to buy. I think you will have to get one of those really tiny combs to get the eggs out.

But I wouldn't take her to hairdresser. I doubt you can get them all out in 24 hrs. If I was hairdresser and a mom took their child to see me and they had lice I would be pretty upset.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

You have to go buy some lice-killing shampoo and comb-out gel. With a lice-comb you will comb each strand of hair very carefully and pin it up. The lice you comb out have to be put in a plastic bag and thrown away right after you finish the combing process (which will take around 1-2 hours depending on the hair length). Also wash all bedding and stuffed animals, also clothes your daughter wore, hot and put it in the dryer on hot for at least 30 minutes. Stuff you can not wash should be put in plastic bags which you close and store for about 2 weeks. You have to check your daughter's hair everyday for eggs and newly hatched lice and if you find some again, do the whole combing process again. About 7-10 days after the first treatment with lice-killing shampoo you have to repeat the shampooing and combing to make sure you kill the new generation, which may have survived, before they get old enough to produce more lice themselves. - Just go buy a lice-killing kit (one good brand is "Rid") and read the instructions very carefully and follow all steps. Good luck for you and your daughter! :-)

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Ask at your nearest chemists; they have a range of excellent products, all of which are effective. Dont worry too much about it- its very common, and these creatures only go for clean hair!!!!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Rixd

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

i have had the same problem and i brought tee tree conditioner spray and a metal toothcomb with the handle(easier to use) and went through her hair section by section, ive tried the so called lotions and no joy so found best solution was to spend a couple of hours to do it myself make sure hair is saturated and they wont be able to cling to the hair.I hope this helps as i know its a nightmare.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Try a lice remover kit, you can by one at any drug store. Please cancel her hair cut for tomorrow. Lice spread very easy. I worked in a salon, they should refuse to cut her hair if they see any lice or eggs. Plus she can pass this on to the next person, or the hairdresser giving her the hair cut. Combs, shampoo bowl, the chair, and all carry them. If the salon finds them they have to shut down and bleach everything, and that isn't fair to them. Lice only go to clean hair. Wash all the bedding in hot water with bleach, and if you can replace the pillows. Dry all items in a HOT dryer. Take shirts and clothing if possible and also wash in HOT water. Bath towels ect...If you have a dog or a cat, also bath them. I've been threw this on your side, and also on the side of the hairdresser. She also should not go to school if you know they are not gone. It could take serveral shampoo's with the lice shampoo. Don't be embarrassed, this things can happen to the best of us. Good Luck!!!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

my niece has the same problem, her head was constantly covered, finally my sister put baby oil on her hair, and combed the nits and lice out, they can't stick to the hair because of the baby oil, then use tea tree shampoo and conditioner and while the conditioner is in get her to comb her hair through with the nit comb, it'll stop her from getting them again.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Wash her hair in tea tree shampoo then put loads of conditioner in her hair take fine sections and comb with a fine tooth comb you might have to do it a couple of times but it works and its cheap better than strong chemicals that lice are getting used to.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

First use a product called "RID". You can find it at Wall-Mart, or any drug store. Put enough in her hair so that all her hair is wet with it, wait about 15 minutes, then shampoo it out. Use a good conditioner, because when your done, you need to use the combs that come with it and go through every inch of her hair with them. Take a small section at a time and run nit comb through until you don't feel any more "tugging". You'll have to repeat this in 7-10 days, just in case any eggs were missed. Expect to spend pretty much the rest of the night on her hair. Good luck!!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

here it goes my kids have got them twice. first of all (rid) will kill the lice.there is a comb with it you have to comb out the nits(eggs) they are tiny and attached to the base of the hair. the further away from the scalp the longer they have had them.you have to slowly go through their head a small patch at the time and remove the nits. the cycle is i think 2 weeks. A good trick to make sure they are dead is using a hot hairdryer on their head. any that escape your discovery will die by the heat. I will say this do not take your child to get a haircut. my wife is a hair stylist and when they find someone with lice they have to send them home it doesn't matter if their head is half cut. then they have to disinfect everything they have. Also lice only live a short time off the host but bedding and stuffed animals should be washed and dried in a hot dryer. every bodies head should be checked their school should be notified (so they can find who gave them to your child) All combs bow and brushes should be disinfected.Keep a check on them they may return using a dryer every couple of nights will prevent re infestation.Lice love clean heads so don't be embarrassed.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Get a nit comb, wash her hair, put lots of conditioner on her hair, and comb through, break the darned things legs, they die, and cant lay further eggs! Keep this up every time you wash her hair, Use Tea Tree Oil, they hate that!!!

Warn your hairdresser, she can decide to do it and sterilise her combs afterwards, or leave it for a couple of days.

But this is an every week occurance, dont worry too much.

Head lice prefer nice clean hair!

Also ARGOS do an battery nit comb whiich ZAPS them when you come through, very satisfying - good luck!

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

this is a LEGITIMATE reason to keep your child off school do not sent them back till the infestation is cleared -if they go to school and infect another kid your kid will get reinfected if you clean it up so fix it first ring the school in the morning just say Ive got head lice when i have treated them and she is non infectious i will bring her in they would prefer it treated than half the school infested, you can try coating the hair with conditioner and combing them out but this only clears the ones you see it doesn't necessarily kill them all you need to treat them properly don't take them to the hairdressers till you have killed all the lice or you are potentially infesting every customer goes to that store

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

OIL IN DRY HAIR FOR TWENTY MINS, THEN ADD SHAMPOO, RINSE AND COMB.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

conditioner and a nit comb.

wash the hair and apply a good amount of conditioner and comb it through with a brush or comb first and then with the nit comb, this will get rid of the nits, you will need to go through her hair doing the same thing everynight for the next week. the eggs you will have to pull down the hair using your fingers as the nit combs only clear the nits and not the eggs.

Phone the hairdresser before you go in, explain that although she has no nits on her head she may have eggs left on her head that you have not managed to get rid of. ask if they are prepared to cut it, if not then you could wait until the weekend and try then or try another hairdresser.

You could try over the counter treatments from the chemist but they can be expensive and not do the job properly. I tried a mousse on my kids and it was just as bad after I used it, twice!!

conditioner is cheap and the only thing it takes is time.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

weve put our kids thru school, the nit factory...we use a bug spray called FRONTLINE. its meant for your pets, but by golly it works instantly. we sprayed our kids twice a year, start of school nowish, and again at easter. you can only get it from the vet, and you may have to borrow your neighbours cat or dog. put a damp towel over their faces, and spray.. leave it on and wash as normal the following day... no moer combing, no more screaming kids...

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

"Hedrin". It is a thin silicone oil that you rub into your hair and leave for a few hours before washing out. It drowns the lice, so they cannot become resistant.

How do you get rid of headlice as soon as possible??!?

Do they sell Vick's vapor rub in the UK? If so get some and rub it all over her hair, comb it through and if it's long, braid it.Leave it in her hair for 24 hours, then wash her hair with dishwashing soap, then with regular shampoo.Blow-dry as hot as she can stand, but be careful not to burn her scalp. This will kill the adults and the eggs.

What shall i do with my long bob?

I have just recently had my hair cut and i love it. Its a shoulder lengh inverted bob. My hair dresser told me that because my hair was so thin i would have to go to my hair line to get thye full effecty of it, which i am really unsure about! i have booked an appointment for this coming monday to finish the cut at the back. I don't feel i can talk to my friends about it as they all love long hair look. Shall i just go for it cause its only hair or shall i chicked out and look the same? please help asap thanks x

What shall i do with my long bob?

it's YOUR hair, if you want it, go ahead. it's not your friends choice.

Need your advice on my hairdresser...?

I moved to this city about a year ago, and I'm on the second hair dresser since I got here. I have brown hair that I like both dark brown and blonde weaved into. When I first moved here, I had longer hair and agreed for the first hair dresser to shorten it a bit. That left me with funky layers that I hated. This newer hair stylist has progressively begun the same hair cut and now her weaves look crappy. I spent two-and-a-half hours yesterday while she messed with my weave and hair cut. Man am I mad! AND it's super expensive.

How can I better communicate that I want to grow my hair out a bit and better describe what colors I want? I am mad about all of this...

Need your advice on my hairdresser...?

I am so sorry for what the Hairdresser did. Did you go to a proffesinal hair salon? I would look around online, for example these are good hair salons:

JCPenney Hair Salon

Great Clips

Master Cuts

Look around on the Internet. You'll find great Hair Stylists and Salons.

I would go to a proffesinal hair salon, let them do anything to make your hair look fantastic!! I am sorry, but this is all I know!'

Good Luck

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

What will I say to the hair dresser to keep my hair long but just a bit shorter. Everytime I say I want it long but shorter they always cut it way way too short! Maybe I should start saying I want only half an inch off? help?

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

ask for just a trim... say u like the length and the look but i need a trim..

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

use a volume conditioner (leave in if possible)

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

get layers

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

Tell her to cut it so it's half covering your ear length. Or if you want it shorter, one-forth covering your ear length. Good luck!

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

keep the length and take off 2 inches (or whatever) off the crown.

Long Shaggy hair..Haircut today....how do i keep it shaggy but long still?

Thats fine the way it is!!

But if you really wanna get it cut just get half an inch cut off. Like you said.

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

im a guy and have been growing my hair for a year now. i used to get it trimmed every six weeks. but i noticed that i only have four inches of hair in a years growth. so do trims slow down your desired hair growth process. i always tell my hair dresser to only cut off 2 or 3 weeks worth of hair and it looks alot more than that because i look at the hairs that she cuts off and seems like a half inch or even an inch. so is she cutting of more than i told her to. thanks. please answer.

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

1] this is not an OMG question

2] tell her to trim the EXACT amount you want trimmed off - if you go every two months, and get 1/4 inch off, that will only be 1 and 1/2 inches a year.

How is she supposed to know how much all her clientshair grows in 2-3 weeks?

An inch is approximately one finger joint on me, but I have very small hands.

3] if she doesn't follow directions, switch hairdressers

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

she is cutting too much..tell her a trim quarter of an inch no more...better yet go to a different stylist...

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

Yeah, she is trimming too much. A lot of stylists are guilty of this. Just get a trim every 2 months. Tell her to only trim a half inch. If you notice her trimming too much, just politely tell her to to only cut less.

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

I agree, go to a different stylist.

Trims do not slow down the growth of your hair, you should get a regular trim between the 4 to 6 week period, it really helps your hair grow and gets rid of any split ends.

Hope that helped :) good luck

OH MY GOD HELP ME please!!!?

well, theres this product which actually made my daughter's hair longer..

we go this health site for an eczema product- and saw a hair growth product- so took a sample.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

Okay, I'm getting my hair cut next weekend and I want to get those long, sideswept bangs that are in style right now, how do I describe them to my hair dresser, O, and any one have any ideas for a cut for someone with thick, unruly hair, to make it lie flat and straight? Thanx!

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

their called side swept bangs. =]

you also tell her what length you want

abover you eyebrow

or below. or under your eye. =]

it depends

. hope i helped. sweety.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

hon. you decribed them PERFECTLY! just say sideswept instyle bangs and you can make the decision! ok? does that help? maybe you can get your hair thinned while ur at the hair dressers.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

just tell her sideswept bangs, or better yet show her i pitcure.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

Chinese Bangs

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

side bangs, fringe bangs

those are the ones that are in style

http://images.google.com/images?sourceid...

http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10...

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

try a CHI straightener

and there called "side bangs"

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

there called side-swept bangs so just tell her that but if u want to bring in a pic you could bring one of Ashley Tisdale or sumthin

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

bring in a picture. that's always easier than just saying it.

go on photobucket and type in different things then look through the pictures.

i'm sure your hairdresser would know what you're talking about if you say side bangs.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

I'm not sure they have a name but I know what you mean so say that to your hairdresser I'm sure they'll know.

Also, if you could find a pic of someone's hair that you like that'd be brilliant.

I would say get loads of layers and get it thinned.

I had normal sort of hair but I just wanted it thinner and I put loadsa layers in and now it's really thin and it's great.spesh for summer.

Your hairdresser will be able to thin it out aswel. So it'll sit better.

Obviously I dont know your hair....

Then you can get those straightening creams and some good straighteners.

My mum has natural ringlets but she uses loreal's hot 2 straight and some cheapo GHD's everyday and her hair's not dry and it's dead straight everyday.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

my stylist calls it sweeping bangs!

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

sideswept bangs, then show her/him where you want them to stop at on your face.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

take a picture of reese witherspoon or nicole richie with you to show your stylist their bangs. i think they both have good ones. make sure she doesn't cut them bluntly straight across, that is what little girls wear! you don't want to look like Mena Suvari. (google her and you'll see what i mean!)

for thick, unruly hair you could try something that is smoothing like pantene smooth and sleek or something similiar. it works great to smooth everything out and tame frizzies.

Does Anyone Know What Those Bangs are called that are in style right now?

I think they are called side bangs, but you could let your bangs grow out. Grown out bangs go great with thick hair. Also, if you want to, use a hair straightener to make it the way you want.(If it doesn't work, please don't get mad at me.)

Help please!?

I am going threw a NASTY seperation from my husband (who I still love and adore) he has been extremely difficult to deal with. After making no effort to contact me or my son (1 year) last week he decided he wanted to take my son for the weekend.... When I showed up to drop my baby off my ex had been drinking, I was tempted to take my baby and leave but I feared for our saftey so I left my son for the weekend. Now here is the question part... My sons hair is starting to get long and I really like it so I asked my husband NOT to cut his hair! Well lastnight when I picked up my son his hair had been cut. Should I approach my ex about this? It really hurt my feelings that he couldn't respect the one thing I had asked. Not only that but it was my sons first hair cut which I missed and I am a hair dresser and wanted to give my baby his first hair cut....Do I lay it on the a**hole?

Help please!?

What!!.....You're married?!?

;~)

Help please!?

yes

Help please!?

First, you shouldn't have left your son there when he was drinking. You should have listened to your gut.

And it's ONLY hair. It will grow.

Help please!?

you r one girl with alot of problems

Help please!?

.

Help please!?

He is a very mean and selfish person and it's sad that you didn't get to see/do his first haircut, especially since you're a hairdresser, but in my opinion you should be more worried about your ex's actual behaviour towards your son. For example is he violent or does he yell at him a lot? If he is you could try to get full custody of your son. Good luck trying to sort this out!

Help please!?

he was being an a$$hole nothing left to say

Help please!?

I would

Help please!?

What for, it won't change anything.

Help please!?

Well, one .... you shouldn't have left your son with him if he had been drinking and it was obvious he had been.

And two .... who cares about the hair ... it will grow back. Just warn him next time that you wish for him to respect your wishes since you are the main caregiver. If he gives you grief ... simply tell him if this continues, you will go to the courts and and demand supervised visits

Help please!?

Honey, first I would have never left my child with ANYONE who had been drinking! What if he had went for drive and ~~~~ well, you can figure that one out! If you have custody and your PH (previous husband) will not respect your decisions on haircuts, etc, talk to human resources, child welfare, or go back and see a judge and get an order that he cannot see the child if he is going to take him and make physical changes you do not approve of ~~~ you are the custodial parent and you make the choices~ ~ ~ ~~ GOOD LUCK Honey!

Help please!?

I would talk to him but not when he is drinking that is a bad thing with only a worse thing to come out. If he really starts to become a problem disconnect yourself from him. (these things can really get bad one of my moms friends had to get a court order that the mom got 100% of the time with kid. except 1 night i think.) I dont see how you can take such disrespect and disregard for your opinion that is totaly wrong. To all of those who think the hair thing isn't important wait till you have your kid (first kid) you want to be apart of everything in his/her life.

Help please!?

Well! i feel that he is trying to be smart. There might be a possibility that he also loves you and doing this to get your attention. You are very right in the haircut matter, he should not have done like this. I thing you need to talk, just go out, have some beer and tell him that he is hurting you, im damn sure he will respect your feelings

Help please!?

Lay it on yourself first for

1) leaving your child with his father who was drunk

2) telling a drunk NOT to do something when the person he hates most asked him not too

You're lucky that is all he did. So when you think of calling someone an asshole...look in the mirror first.

Help please!?

Wow that was pretty screwed up of him. I know you still love him very much, but if he's treating you that way, what's the use? Also, I'd be upset about the haircut, but VERY upset if you explained to him the situation (I want to cut his hair for the first time, his first haircut, etc.).

Approaching him...? Whatever you do, show that you're the mature one- don't start a fight and get nasty. If he starts yelling, don't yell back. Just shake your head and tell him he needs to grow up...

Help please!?

I'm sorry that you found an a**hole to have a child with. For the safety of your child I would never leave him with someone who was drinking. You need to contact your attorney and have you visitations changed, your ex needs to have supervised visits until he gets his act together. Good luck to you.

Help please!?

Just Bring up his drinking in court. He obviously cut the childs hair just to spite you and if he notices that it didn't really tick you off he maybe will stop doing stupid **** on purpose to try to get at you in everyway that he can. He will have hair again and again in different body parts. I understand that his first hair cut meant a lot to you but you have to realize that he is very young and there are a lot of experiences that you will get to go thru with him. Just try to get your husband out of the picture so you and your child and live a normal and happy life without assholes trying to screw up your life.

P.S. Try to stay in a good mood that helps everything.

Help please!?

you fear for your safety but you left your child with the person you fear girl, girl do you know if something has happen to your child the police got involve you might have gotten charge with neglect

anyway yhe hair cut I understand but try to pass it

he was and is trying to pick a fight with you

just say to him thank you for the hair cut

that should get him thinking

Help please!?

You should have never left your son since his father did not have enough respect for him and was drinking when he got there.

I understand your fear, but you should have told him sorry, you were unaware he would be drinking and if he even started to say something called 911. You should also always take someone else with you when you go there if you have a reason to be afraid.

As far as the haircut, leave it alone. I know it upset you but the more fuss you make about it he will try to use against you in court.

Don't keep your son from his father, but next time.....take a friend and a cell phone, go to the door first without your son.......if he is drinking give your friend a signal to call 911, if he is fine go get your son and give him to him.

Help please!?

You need to reread your question...You wrote: when I showed up...my ex had been drinking....temped to take your BABY and leave..but feared for you boths SAFETY?.....I do not know you or your ex, so sorry....but that was a very stupid thing to do!!!!!

Help please!?

is this really worth fighting about? what is to be gained by it? It is too late to do anything about it. Frankly I wouldn;t have left the child once I'd noticed that dad was drinking, and i woul rethink that in the future or discuss it with him before hand and set up some ground rules.

there are going to be A LOT of issues to deal with and compromise about, make sure you pick the battles that are really worth it. it's better for your son to have some contact with his father, but if yoiu nit pick over every thing, dad may decide to stay out of the picture and your son is the one who will ultimately suffer.

you need to try to be civil to one another and NEVER bad mouth the other parent to your child. it will make him feel like he has to choose sides and will make him want to defend his dad, the same will hold true for dad talking badly about you, your son will defend you or at the very least it will alienate dad because your son will not want to hear dad talking bad about you.

you must start thinking in terms of what is best and most fair for your son. it is not his fault that his parents can't get along and he should not have to suffer for it. be sure to look at it from that angle and always be the bigger person

good luck to you.

Help please!?

I think you should be as cold as hell with your ex...don't shout or anything, just be quiet and cold, that'll really aggravate him. If you show him what he's doing is really pissing you off then he'll keep doing it, trust me.

Help please!?

yes he done it out of spite to you ,and another thing you should consider you said you was afraid not to leave your child ,that you feared your safety ,why did you not go straight to social services and see what could have been done I would never leave my baby with a drinking man ,so please get with a social worker about this ,you will never forgive yourself if he had the baby and something happened .Please talk to a professional about him drinking while having the baby .you may have something here he may have to have montiored visits ,please dont let him have that baby if he is drinking ,what happens when you do this and walk away how drunk does he get while you are not there with the baby .

Help please!?

Pl do not believe him any more and do not take second chance in future I can suggest

Help please!?

1, you left your son with someone intoxicated,,would you do the same if a babysitter rolled up offering services and was drunk? i doubt it,,im sure you have thought of what may have happened and was probably glad when no bad reports came but this was iresponsible of you and anything could have happened.2, you need to get some control over your son and his welfare,,you are his mother and if your wishes are not respected with haircuts will they be respected with more important things?you have to see your husband as the childs father yes,but he left and as you are now the primary carer you need to get some clarity into yours and your husbands relationship,,scoring points can turn nasty so nip this in the bud,,get a sitter or family member and see if your husband will meet you to discuss access arrangements, you cannot play games to get at one another and still focus on your son,,leave your personal emotions at home and keep the conversation about your son,,how you and he want to parent him,the effects on him your two,s behavior will have,be it now or in later years,,for his sake you need to establish fairness as this will make a happy child coming out of a bad situation.

Help please!?

You should not leave your baby if he is drinking... Who cares if he's mad you don't have to live with him and isn't your baby's well being and safety more important than his ego. With the hair cut I would be angry but I would also pick my battles. It is hair and it will grow and it sounds like you have bigger issues with the ex than a hair cut. Besides he prob did it just because he knew it would bother you. Don't let him get the satisfaction of pushing your buttons. Just smile - you catch more flies with honey!!!!!

Help please!?

The mother always belongs with her children. Period. I think if alchohol is part of the equation, then you are in for disaster. It tends to enhance anger. It sounds like he cut your son's hair because he was angry with you. I don't know what is going on with you and your husband. But, I think you really step back and find out. Examine your relationship in detail. Write the good and the bad on paper. Talk to friends and family. Then act. If necessary, find a counselor. It might also be a tremendously good idea to TO TALK TO A DIVORCE LAWYER about your situation. A divorce lawyer can guide you on how to act because or CHILD CUSTODY issues should you decide to proceed with a divorce. The judge will look at your behavior and his when deciding who gets the child. Please go see a divorce lawyer for advice on how to conduct yourself and prepare for divorce.

Help please!?

It is really hard to be too sympathetic to your "hurt feelings" about a hair cut, when you left your son with someone, Dad or not, that had been drinking. You "feared for your safety" if you took him, but didn't fear for his safety if you left him there. That's just not right.

Help please!?

First of all you don't leave your son with a drunkenly bastard suppose he had hurt him. Anyways he has no respect for you not because you are divorce means that he can do as he please life does not work that way. He is sick and a piece of S#H#T he will get what is coming to him in due time. Sorry you missed your sons first hair cut but guess what is the beauty you will have many more first times in is life. I really hope you get away from this bastard.

Help please!?

you said you were fearful for your safety if you did not leave your children after you knew he had been drinking. well, thats called child endangerment!!! How would you have felt if he had been in a car accident and killed your children? The only reason I can think that you would be scared of him is that he was abusive. If thats the case, you REALLY shouldn't have left your kids with him. I was in an abusive marriage for years and the minute my child was born, i realized I had to leave for the child's own good. PLEASE never do that again!!!

Help please!?

First you should of never left your baby with someone who has been drinking. Second your ex cut your baby's hair to get back at you. He is being a idiot. If you think that he would do anything to you or your child then you need to let someone know. Also when you drop off the child you should have someone with you. This way there is someone there that can back up what you say. It is plain to see that all he wants is to get back at you and there is a chance that he will use the child to do that. You may love him but that is nothing to the safety and well being of your child. You deserve better and should not be anyone's walking mat and that is what it sounds like he thinks you are. Make sure that you document everything just in case things get worse.
