YES!!! Make sure you are firm when you tell them how much you want taken off...they start telling you what they think is best! They get what I call...SCISSOR HAPPY! nothing against stylists...but they love to cut and make their own creations at your expense. I went in for a trim....remind you a trim...and left there crying..because I wasn't looking when she chopped off 5inches. I love my long hair....but just goes to show, I wasn't firm enough.

you can tell them how much you want off, if you want the dead ends off just say "i want enough taken off to get rid of most of my dead ends" and she will do so.etc..

they are not supppose to..some cut about an inch and others just trim your ends...but be sure to tell the stylist what you want cut!
