okay soo heres the downlow on my hair.. its black.. i only died it a couple times.. but i let it grow out for 2 years with out cutting it or dying it .. soo my hair is really long down to my ***.. so i have brown roots pretty bad there gross.. the roots are down to my shoulder and the rest is black.. would the hair dresser be able to get the black out WITHOUT CUTTING my hair???? i need help :(

and im not a do it yourself kinda person.. ill pay what ever it takes to get my hair to a brown

Go to any decent salon and they can lighten your black hair back to brown which will be much better on your hair than stripping it.

Stripping the hair color severly damages the hair. A hairdresser could lighten it up a bit, not to light and make it blend into your hair with highlights. Be careful if you want to keep the length.

do NOT get your hair stripped of the color!!!!! it takes out all of the pigments in your natural hair go to a really good salon and tell them you want your hair the same color as your roots and they will probably tell you something like it will not look exactly like your root because once you dye your hair you can never get it back to its natural color so again do NOT get your hair stripped get it dyed.

they can use corrective coloring on it or strip out some color and dye the bottom half or dye it all.just tell the salon what you want done and there are many diffrent methods they could use so,yes there are tons of way!

If the stylist is a TRUE specialist....then go. But either way your going to have to lift the black out of your hair and then it depends on what level of brown your natural hair is. Your ends will go through two processes... lightening and then toning (or dying). I know you said you don't want to cut your hair, but AFTER going through both processes you NEED to cut your hair. Ask your stylist for her professional opinion about how much to cut to at least get your hair healthy again.

Just remember that black is the HARDEST color to remove (or lighten) and trying to fix your hair at home will only end up bright orange.
